The reward chart for kids that keeps them motivated
Set the rewards, set the point price, and let your kids save up. Screen time, an ice cream trip, a movie night pick — the reward store is yours to define.
- Rewards and point prices you control
- Kids browse and redeem from their own screen
- Redemptions need your approval
- A reward idea library to start from
Free printable reward chart
Print the blank reward chart if you want to start with stickers or ticks tonight: thirty squares to fill and a line at the top for the reward being saved for. When the squares fill faster than you can print them, move it into the app.
Reward ideas by point price
Rewards work when there is always something within reach and something worth waiting for. A simple ladder that families use:
Small — 10 to 25 points
- Pick the music in the car
- Twenty extra minutes of screen time
- Choose dinner on Friday
- Stay up fifteen minutes later
Medium — 30 to 60 points
- Movie night, their pick
- Ice cream trip
- A friend over after school
- A new book
Big — 100 points and up
- A day out they choose
- A trip to the zoo or a museum
- A toy or game they have been asking for
- A day off chores
Setting point prices that hold up
Work backwards from the week. Add up what a good week earns, then price the small rewards at about a third of that, the medium ones at a full week, and the big ones at three or four weeks. If your child clears the whole store on Tuesday, the prices are too low and the rewards stop mattering.
Every redemption in Joyful Measures waits for your approval, so you can keep the store honest without deleting anything your child was saving for.
